Employ one veteran. Then employ more
Veteran-preferred hiring, apprenticeship slots, or a full pipeline commitment. Leverage the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) while building an operationally strong workforce.
Four operational reasons. One mission reason
Leadership under pressure
Military roles require making decisions with incomplete information. That generalizes.
Team discipline
Team performance is the default mode, not the exception. Onboarding time collapses.
Fast-learner pattern
Military training is compressed, documented, and outcome-measured. Veterans transfer that pattern to new skills.
Mission orientation
Veterans join organizations with missions. They stay. Retention is a measurable cost saving.
Pick your lane
- STARTING LINE
One veteran hire
A single commitment to interview and place one qualified CHV-referred veteran inside a named time window.
- DEEPER COMMITMENT
Apprenticeship slot
A skill-based apprenticeship or on-the-job training slot reserved for a CHV-referred veteran, structured over 6 to 18 months.
- MULTI-YEAR PARTNERSHIP
Veteran-preferred pipeline
A standing hiring preference for CHV-referred veterans across named roles, with quarterly reporting on interviews, offers, and placements.
- CAPACITY-BUILDER
Training and credentialing
Co-sponsor a credentialing cohort (Commercial Driver's License, certifications, skilled-trades prep) with job placement on completion.
Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC)
Employers who hire qualified veterans can claim WOTC credits of up to $9,600 per hire, depending on category. Veterans receiving disability compensation, veterans with a service-connected disability who have been unemployed for six months, and veterans receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits all qualify. CHV does not process WOTC paperwork, but we help you identify eligible candidates inside our placement pool.
